“INDIANA SPIRIT QUEST”
The Indiana Spirit Quest series of geocaches will take you to a number of historic cemeteries built by Hoosier Pioneers. In just a year and a half, the quest has grown to over four hundred caches hidden in over forty Indiana counties, and Ohio and Michigan and the hiders have grown to over twenty cacher teams, most of which are comprised of Dogs and their Humans. Over 750 cacher teams have logged over 8,900 finds. One cache machine found 102 ISQ caches in a single day (daylight hours only).

INDIANA SPIRIT QUEST #394
"Corrington Ridge"
West Point Cemetery is in Center Township, Union County in Liberty, Indiana. The cemetery was established in the 1840s and is still active. Throughout the cemetery you will find graves of many brave individuals who have served our country. There especially seems to be many veterans from Korea, Vietnam and WWII buried here. Among the veterans are Captain Swisher of Company C 36th Indiana and Carl M. Potter who served in the US Air Force during Korea.
This large cemetery is perhaps one of the most scenic cemeteries we have found. It got its name because the land comes to a point and is bordered by a steep ravine to the northwest. This makes for spectacular views of the valley below. There are also artful discoveries to be appreciated throughout the grounds. The cache name is in honor of the large family monument of the Corringtons, which is topped by an intricate carving of Mary clinging to a cross and clutching flowers. From ancient stone carvings to the modern etching of B&O trains (both historic and contemporary) on Delbert E. White’s marker, you could spend hours wandering these grounds.
You may find this cache a bit more difficult to put your hands on than most ISQ hides. It is a small micro container carefully hidden away from the graves. Be careful as you search, because this cemetery is on a ridge with steep banks at its outer edges that get slippery when wet!! You WILL NOT need to stray from level ground to locate this cache. If you can’t find the cache right away; take a break, stroll around, enjoy the property and come back refreshed and ready to try again. If hunger gets to you, we highly recommend El Reparo Mexican restaurant that is close by.

The cache is a small micro container with a log, bring your own pen. It is hidden away from graves. Please leave the cache exactly as you found it.
As always, no ISQ searching after dusk, and cache in, trash out.
