Geocache Description:

The Cacher's Cache

Have you found a cache and forgot to BYOP or discovered the one inside wasn't working or broken or missing? How about the battery suddenly loosing power or the log's so wet you can't sign it? You just walked all that way to the cache leaving body parts and fluids, and now you need a blasted pencil or a replacement log to make the find official! Because you really wanted to log your find, you hike back to the car saying all those bad words toward yourself, the prior cachers and the cache owner. Surely, I am not alone in this scenario, right? Well, read on.

I saw that all the caches in this neat little area had been archived, so I took advantage of the open space. Also, I wanted to do something "significant" for this sport, so here is my thanks to all with The Cacher's Cache.

The theme of the cache is to include as many items as possible that one might need when making a find - those just in case items. The initial contents included: pencils, pens, zip locks, batteries, blank cache logs, geocaching information sheets, glasses case (yes, once I did need one of these), and some other items that came to mind. Take/give accordingly. Though all stages are on clear paths, some minor bushwhacking my be required.

You can park your car, bike, or whatever somewhere near S1 then take the hike around this neat place. There are four (4) stages with S1 through S3 then the final. S1 is a bison tube w/ coords to S2, S2 is a laminated tag low on the South pine tree as well as a sealed pink-topped pill bottle at its base and S3 a small sealed glass container containing the coordinates to the final. NO need to open S2 or S3 .

The whole trek takes from 1 to 1.5 hrs and covers something like 1.5 miles. The final container is a camo'd plastic jar about 3" x 5" x 7".

First to find congratulations goes to Cache & Keri and beachside on 1/1/2006

Don't forget to seek The Drop Site while in the area.
