If there can be 101 caches named for 101 Dalmatians, why not 1000 caches named for David’s favorite salad dressing, Thousand Island? Imagine 1000 little green micros like the bits of sweet pickle in a serving of Thousand Island dressing. Each cache is named after an island and corresponds to the island in some way.
We’ve never visited the Greek island of Mykonos but it sounds like a nice place. We’d enjoy dining on avgolemano and souvlaki at a small street-side table of a local taverna in a quaint village with whitewashed walls. Mykonos is one of the most upscale areas of Greece, and its real estate is very expensive. The island was named in honor of Apollo's grandson Mykons. We wanted to place the cache near something with a Greek theme such as a restaurant or church but certain parks are cache rich or too well manicured. We decided to go with Hobby Park since eating Greek food is one of our hobbies. This was our first decon container cache but we had to replace it with a vitamin bottle wrapped in camo tape after a critter tore the lid to pieces. Bring your own pen.
