Geocache Description:


This journey takes you to the 1,569-acre Gay City State Park on the Hebron-Bolton town line. The terrain is flat to rolling hills. There is no need to bushwhack; there are well-marked trails for the entire hike. You will need to find information along the way to get to the next waypoint. There are NO NASTY MICROS to complicate your journey. The answers are provided in the hints if you have trouble finding the information. The hike is approximately five miles. Parking is available near the provided coordinates. A helpful map of the park’s trails is at: GCSP Map.

Waypoint 1: Count the # letters in the first word on the sign at the above coordinates. This equals A.
Waypoint 2: N41 43.223 W72 26.A07 B = # of vertical posts.
Waypoint 3: N41 42.564 W72 26.(B+6)49 C = # of vertical posts on the bridge.
Waypoint 4: N41 43.240 W72 27.(C-8)70 D = # of vertical posts.
Waypoint 5: N41 43.919 W72 26.(D+6)59 E = # of vertical posts on the bridge.
Final: N41 43.E50 W072 26.(E-3)42

State Park and Forest Recreation Areas are open to the public year round, as conditions permit, from sunrise until sunset. Pets on a leash are permitted in most state parks and forests. Owners must remove and properly dispose of pet waste left by the pet or riding animal under their control. There are entry fees during peak usage.
