the cache is located in the daugherty hill wildlife area. park at the gate (N 39 20.346 W 121 20.295) and hike one-quarter mile NW on the main trail. you will not have to leave the trail until the last 80 feet.
while i was hiking along, looking for possible caching sites, i noticed that my N and W coordinates were becoming very similar to one another. the last five digits of each coordinate actually became the same. i was tempted to place a cache in such an unusual place, so i did. it is waiting there for you to find it...
