Easy terrain - well formed track
This most beautiful lake is true to its name. It is a 15 minute walk from the highway to the lake high on Pihanga mountain above Turangi township. There is parking at the well signposted entrance to the track. The track also circles the lake 5km around. There are three sandy swimming beaches and warm water in summer so bring your togs & towel.
Beware of muggles in summer this place gets busy on sunny weekends and holidays.
