located in a nice kid and dog friendly park in the inner west, this short multi cache will require some mathematics, a calculator, and a lot of stealth at the cache hiding spot.
This is a well frequented park, and is close to other inner west caches
At the starting coordinates WP1, you will need to gain information inscribed on a plaque.
"An ongoing interaction between the ring structures and the native trees planted in ----.
As the fig trees grow to their maturity, their buttressing roots will slowly dislodge each ring of stones, that mark days in decades of their lifetime.
Artists Jennifer Turpin & Michaelle Crawford ----"
to get to WP2 you will need to collect the year in which the native trees were planted, as well as the year in which the artists created their work.
To reach WP2 (ignore decimals)
S= WP1 (southing)minus the year the trees were planted ----, plus 2026
E= WP1 (easting) minus the year the two artists created their work ----, plus 2051
In order to reach the cache.............firstly collect the "year" that bicentennial park was opened. This will be located at WP2.
Now to the cache............
Using the original WP1 coordinates, add the "year" collected at WP2, and then minus the correction factor
ie
S 33 52 360 plus ----, minus 1959....this is the cache "s"coordinate
E 151 10 537 plus ----, minus 1747...this is the cache "E" coordinate.
At GZ sit admire the views, the differing breeds of dog, and then use stealth to retrieve the cache.
A well frequented spot with lots of traffic, you will need to pick your time in retrieving the cache.
Cache is a "micro" type, log only cache, suited to introduce beginners and the like to comfortable environment multi caches.
Good Luck.....and take care when retrieving and replacing the cache..it would be great if this one can survive the test of time!
