As I celebrate my 29th birthday (again?), I’m hiding my first
cache.
This is my first hide, so be gentle with your criticism.
Congrats to Buckeyes_in_Texas for FTF. (He was number one on my
list.)
I had two goals in placing my first cache:
- I wanted it to be close by so I could check on it.
- I wanted something other than a micro since there are so many
micros in the area.
Accomplishing these were difficult because of the saturation of
both caches and Muggles nearby.
I was able to find a spot hopefully far enough away from the
other caches.
I was also able to hide a small cache at this location. I’m
hoping that it can remain without getting muggled.
The original container was about the size of a decon container.
It has now been replaced with an ammo can.
If we ever get rain again, some wading and / or sloshing through
mud may be required to get to the cache.
A Texas GeoCoin (# 3122) was included as a FTF prize.
BTW: I made a list of four local cachers who I think are most
likely to be the FTF. I’ll let you know if anyone on the list is
the actual FTF.
