This cache started out as a hotel for bugs to sit back and take it easy for a bit before heading off again on their hectic missions. But it seems this area is a geocaching desert and very few wander this way. So bugs end up sitting and looking out the lonely windows of the cache wondering when anyone will arrive. Now, this is only a bug outpost. Leave a bug here if you wish- someone will come along eventually. But it is no longer a hotel, just an outpost in the middle of geocaching nowhere.
Cache is located in a County Park that has a boat landing, swimming area, playground, bathrooms, and picnic tables. The lake is small but large enough to make for an enjoyable paddle and we've enjoyed kayaking here several times (there is a launch fee). Great spot to swim and picnic and get away from it all for a few hours. Plan to spend an afternoon if you can. Park is partially plowed all year for ice fishing access. Please be careful with the unplowed park roads. While there are numerous tire tracks, a warm winter day can turn those areas into slush and we've had one geocacher stuck.
The cache is a painted plastic container with a screw-on lid.
Park closes at 11:00 PM
