A 9" round plastic container, camouflaged.
This cache is located in the undeveloped Deerfield Township Nature Area. It is a wonderful park of about 400 acres of rolling woodlands and fields. North Ore Creek forms the eastern boundary, and the northern section of the park offers access to Bennett Lake.
There is a short gravel path leading north from the parking lot. Other than that, there are no maintained trails in the park. Feel free to roam and explore to your heart’s content.
The parking area is at the corner of Green and Cohochta roads at N 42 45.832 W 083 49.449
There are no restroom facilities and no fresh water available at this park
Park hours are from dawn to dusk.
Please note that bow hunting is allowed in the park. Please be courteous to our hunting neighbors.
This cache is located on Turtle Island, a very small rise of land barely adjacent to the rest of the park. There are a couple board walks leading out to the “island”. The island was once home to a cabin of some sort, and the foundation is still visible, though in very bad shape.

It is about a 20 minute walk from the parking area to Turtle Island. From Turtle Island it is about a 45 minute walk to “Pine Plantation” in the SE corner of the park.
