Geocache Description:

The listed co-ordinates are for the best parking area, near the start of a 4 mile circular walk, on the outskirts of Derby. Mostly flat but can be very muddy in parts after wet weather.

This cache involves finding two 4" plastic cylinders each of which contains a part co-ordinate for the cache, a clip lock plastic box, containing the usual goodies and log book, which is hidden further along the walk.

From the parking area walk along the path/cycle route which follows the track bed of the old Great Northern Railway. After about one mile and where a footpath crosses turn right. This area can get muddy, please don't wear new trainers or stillettos!

The route from here is easy to follow through fields and over a road. This will take you to clue 1 at N52.55.044 W001.34.099 Note the three digit number.
From here go to N52.55.389 W001.34.438 which means continuing over the stile and walking uphill keeping the hedge and woodland on your left. At the top of the hill where the hedge finishes walk downhill and towards the right where you will pick up a track in a hollow which will take you through gates to a pretty church and churchyard. Go through the chuch yard and past the old school house on your left, turn right at the road you come to. Find the second cylinder and note this three digit number. The footpath continues after the narrow bridge on the left
Add both sets of numbers in order of finding to N52.55.XXX
W 001.33.XXX This is the location of the cache. The footpath from here is well defined. After finding the cache, cross the road, and continue along the footpath to a set of wooden steps which drops you back down to the old railway trackbed. Turn left and return to the start point.
The Great Northern pub opposite does good meals and a decent pint!
Hope you enjoy this cache.

Happy hunting.
