Cache is about a mile west of Cal State Bakersfield on an 'island' in the Kern River bed. Easiest access is from the Chipotle/Eureka Burger parking lot near Stockdale & Calloway. You will need to cross the river bed, and depending on the season, there may be water flowing in it.
Crew 217 was a Boy Scout group of older (age 14-20) boys that met in Bakersfield. This was their first attempt at creating a cache. It is a fun cache and relatively easy. The cache is a plastic coffee container covered in camouflage tape. BYOP!
Please ensure the cache is not glaringly visible to passing muggles.
