We wanted to place a cache at St. Ives Chimney, on the south
side of the freeway, but found it to be on private property. So we
originally placed the cache at S35° 06.669' E138° 59.660', which
overlooks the surrounding area. After a while, an electric fence
was erected around GZ to allow cattle to graze the area. So the
cache was moved atop an embankment overlooking the mainline railway
that runs between Adelaide & Melbourne. Unfortunately
earthworks removed that one so now the cache resides beneath a big
shinny rock about 120m further along from there
The container is a 30cm long tube that may look like a big
chocolate eclair, but that is not how the cache got it's name.
2WD vehicles should have no problem getting here, even in wet
conditions, but the track can get a little rugged in places. It is
possible to drive to within 60 metres of the new location but it
will be a 150m walk to get to itby the safe approach from the
west.
Cache contains log book, pen, pencil and the usuals swaps. Go get
it.
