Geocache Description:

the cache is located in the daugherty hill wildlife area. park at the gate (N 39 20.346 W 121 20.295) and hike NW on the main trail. when you reach the confluence of two rivulets, take the trail NE up the hill. the total walking distance to the cache is about four-tenths of a mile.

there is considerable bird life in this area. the sparrow hawk is just one of many species that i have seen in this vicinity.
