Geocache Description:


Located in the Chiltern Hills near the Oxfordshire village of Goring on Thames, Whitehill Plantation is an arable field which is being allowed to revert to grass chalk land. On route to the cache, there are lovely views of the Goring Gap and the Thames.

Limited parking is available in Fairfield Road (N51° 31.407’ W001° 07.665’) by the yellow salt bin, which is the start of the footpath leading to the cache. The cache, which is a smallish plastic container, is 0.24 miles from the parking place can be reached by following the footpath between the houses and entering a field via a kissing gate.

The cache can also be approached from a footpath off the B4526 road from Goring to Cray’s Pond, with road side parking adjacent to Goring burial ground (N51° 31.422’ W001° 07.131’).
