The Lake Hennessey Recreation Area provides boating, fishing,
and hiking. It is also a gathering place for many different birds.
Once at the cache if you look South towards the point you will see
a tall tree with an eagle's nest on top. The eagles have nested
here for several years. Let us know if you see any eagles.
Jan 2008 - Just noticed that the nest is gone after all the
winter storms we've had. I don't know the nesting habits but I hope
another one will be built near the cache.
