Geocache Description:

Easy walk from parking.

The High Tressel Bridge trail connects the towns of Ankeny, Sheldahl, Slater, Madrid and Woodward and touchs four counties. The trail will eventually provide a link to create two 100-mile loops that meet near Des Moines, providing one of the longest trail systems in North America. The new trail will connect with a city trail in Ankeny, which will eventually link to the Neal Smith and Chichaqua Valley trails. In Slater, it will also connect to the Heart of Iowa Nature Trail going east. The largest piece of the project will be restoration of the half-mile bridge over the Des Moines River between Madrid and Woodward.

Container is a plastic Mayo jar. Original contents-caribener, car, compass, lizard, pokemon chip, hand sanitizer, 4-H bracelet and a Jeep T.B.

At trail head, stay on graveled path. Adjacent to the trail at parking area is private property.
