Geocachers are seeking The Federation.
The Coords posted above may or may not be the actual coords for the event but one of the many new caches in ONF that the majority of cachers have not found.
This event is kind of like the Where in the World is Carmen San Diego game. I will be posting 6 to 8 caches on the event page over the next month. The Federation will be found at one of these caches for the event.
The event will be held on Feb. 24-26 2006.
I will be at the campsite after 4:30pm on Friday and I will remain there until Sunday around Noon. The requirements to log this event will be to find The Federation and sign the log book for the event. There are many new caches placed in ONF so there will be plenty of caches to hunt. There will be many oppurtunities to 4WD and there will be a few new night caches to boot.
What to bring. Camping will be primitive but in a most beautufl area of ONF. There may or may not be oppurtunities to use a canoe or kyak so bring them if you like. I am sure it will be chilly if not cold so if anyone wants to bring firewood please do so. I will have the big pot ready for Saturday night to make homemade Chili so bring you favorite fixins to throw in the pot sorta Hobo Stew Style. Other meals are on you.
There will be no contests or organized meeting times. This will be a free for all weekend. Just kind of a laid back endure as much of the beauty as you can weekend. I look forward to seeing you all there.

Update 2/23/2006
Alright this is the last update before I boldly go where others have gone before. Well I guess tha's not right since you all have never gone here before. Oh well enough blather on with the hint. I think I have provided enough information to help anyone with a gps to be able to locat me. If for some strange reason I am not as clear as I thought or just more devious than I imagined you have 2 options.
Option 1 meet me at my house before 10 am in the morning and you can follow me to the camping area some have already chosen this route and there is no dishonor in that.
Option 2 is if you are totally lost and have absolutely no clue what is going on contact me before 10 am to be safe probably 11am would still work. Call my cell and I will try one last attempt to guide you where I am will be.
Event Activity Update-
Since I will be stuck in camp during the day recieving people I guess most of my caching will be night caching. I will be leaving camp Friday night around 10pm to do some nearby night caching. I am sure there will be someone at basecamp to help out.
Also on Saturday Night there will be many night caching oppurtunities as well. I have a few special caches I would like to attempt and I am looking for some partners to help out.
Door Prizes-
Well it appears as I was getting around and digging through my drawers I found a few extra coins here. It appears I have a very rare one last #3 Federation Coin. It is looking for a worthy home I am sure someone would like to have that. I guess I will have to figure some outstanding way to give that to some deserving cacher. I also found aa extra FloridaCacher coin that needs a good home.

I look forward to seeing you all there oh yeah I almost forgot one lucky/deserving participant will be taking home a special travel bug. I have the Spirit of Florida Travel Bug in hand which I retreived and now am ready to pass along. I guess maybe someone will have to eaarn this one.

THIS THING HAS GROWN BEYOND MY WILDEST DREAMS. YOU PEOPLE REALLY ARE CRAZY, IMEAN CAMPS IN THE ONF IN THE MIDDLE OF THE WINTER. OH WELL WHO SAID WE PLANNED ON SLEEPING. THERE ARE MANY TRAILS HERE TO HIKE(HINT) THERE ARE PLACES TO USE A BOAT OR KYAK NEARBY(HINT) THERE ARE EVEN PLACE TO USE YOU JEEP IMAGINE THAT(HINT). 2WD VEHICLES CAN ACESS THIS POINT(HINT) TRAVEL TRAILERS AND MOTORHOMES CAN AS WELL(HINT). IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR THE FED A GOOD SATELITTE IMAGE MAY HELP OR KNOWING WHERE I HAVE CAMPED BEFORE MAY HELP AS WELL. YOU MAY EVEN CHECK MY CACHE LOGS TO SEE IF YOU CAN FIND ANYTHING THERE. MORE TO COME NEXT WEEK.
UPDATE 2/16/2006 ALL POSSIBLE LOCATIONS FOR CAMPING HAVE NOW BEEN POSTED. I AM SURE A THOUROUGH SEARCH USING ALL TOOL AVAILABLE A CACHER SHOULD BE ABLE TO NARROW MY LOCATION TO WITHIN A FEW AREAS. I MAY OR MAY NOT BE AT A CACHE. I WILL BE NEAR OR NEARBY A CACHE BUT YOU WOULD HAVE TO PASS ME TO GET TO THE CACHE. ALL AREAS HAVE BEEN VEIRIFED TO BE ACCESSIBLE TO CAR OR 4 WD. THOSE WHO WANT TO BRIGN CAMPER OR RVS THERE AREAS ARE ACCESSIBLE BUT NO FACILITITES ARE PRESENT. IF YOU HAVE QUESTIONS OR NEED CLARIFICATION CONTACT ME.
PLETHORA OF NEW CACHES WILL BE RELEASE ON THURSDAY BEFORE THE EVENT SO BE SURE TO PULL A PQ ON FRIDAY MORNING. THERE ARE AT LEAST 10 NEW CACHES FOR THE EVENT.
