Geocache Description:

repose (noun)

1. rest: a state of rest or inactivity

2. tranquillity: a condition of peacefulness and tranquillity, e.g. in a place

3. peace of mind: freedom from troubles or stress

4. composure: calmness and composure of manner

With this in mind, I urge you to relax when doing this cache. Plan to spend some time in these beautiful gardens, take a picnic and chill out under the trees. To reach this cache, you will need to walk through the magnificent Walter Sisulu Botanical Gardens. The gardens are open from 08h00 - 18h00, last entrance at 17h00. There are varying entrance fees depending on your age and status, and whether there is something on in the gardens such as a concert.

In the cache you will find a number of Sudoku and Fakuro puzzles of varying difficulty to entertain you while you picnic.
They're in the back of the logbook, download and print this out. Take with pens and pencils. For the Sudoku, ensure you ring the original numbers or write them in a different colour.

In order to find the cache you'll need to take a stroll through the gardens and discover the clues at the various waypoints to calculate the cache coordinates. You can do these in any order, but I suggest you follow the sequence. While there is some dirt trail sections, the walk can easily be negotiated with a pram, however some sections will be too narrow for a wheelchair. The last short walk to the cache however can not be gained with a pram.

Parking:

Waypoints:

Checksum note: if a two digit number is 43, then the checksum is 4+3 = 7.

After the final waypoint you can continue your walk through the forest on the path to reach the cache. Note: They are busy doing work on the river and the bridge to the path is unavailable. To get onto the path, head back towards the restaurant. About 30m before the restaurant there is a path leading up to the right. If you miss this one, there's also a path at the top of the Aloe gardens.

Stay on the path until you reach S26º 05.A[B-1][C+2] E027º 50.D[E-1][F-1]. Here you can veer off the path along a rocky and eroded area. Stay to the right of the large rock and continue up the hill. You'll cross a pipe, after which head towards the cache. You can walk around in clearings, there is NO need to bundubash.

The cache is at S26º 05.ABC E027º 50.DEF.

NB: The cache is in a waterproof 1.5l container and is contained within a green water resistant bag. Review and print these instructions to make sure you close the bag correctly.
