Geocache Description:

Welcome to the Country Inn Travel Bug Motel! This is an easy stop-and-grab cache outside of Flushing. (Very short walk from the car.) It is definitely winter-friendly too, although depending on how deep the snow is, your feet might get wet.

Neighbor disclaimer: If you see a guy staring at you from across the street, don't worry, he's nosy, but friendly. He knows what's going on so he won't call the cops!

This is meant for T.B., Coins, Jeeps & signature items. But also feel free to leave and take regular trading items. Feel free to take one without leaving one. We’d like to keep at least ONE bug in the cache at all times, but please don't hesitate to grab a bug if you know that you can help it on it's mission. We don't want to become a travel bug prison! Items staying more than a couple weeks will be moved according to their goals so that they won't be stuck in travel bug prison! If flag is up, the motel has guests!

There is a disposable camera in the cache. Please take a picture of your geocaching vehicle (and the troops too if ya want!) and place the camera back in the cache. When they are developed, we will post them here.

This cache is on private property. All are welcome if they bear a GPSr and/or cache info sheet or PDA. Please be respectful of the natural surroundings and the neighbors.

First Finders prize was a Home Depot gift card with a balance of $4.91! Congrats to Loupou for being the FTF!

Please keep in mind basic Travel Bug etiquette:
1. Please do NOT take all the Travel Bugs in the Hotel. Let others share in some of the fun. T.B. hotels w/o bugs are little fun.
2. Do NOT take a Travel Bug if you are not prepared to help it on its stated journey. For example, if a Travel Bug wants to visit the Florida Keys, don’t grab it and take it to your Family Reunion in Canada.
3. If a TB owner has a unique goal or requests for photos, please DO be an active participant. Have some fun with it.
4. If you “check-in” a TB at the hotel, DO be sure to write the current goal of the TB in the logbook on the door for others to see. If you can, include it along with the TB (via an attached tag or note).
5. Most owners would rather see their travel bugs do a lot of traveling, so try not to hold on to a travel bug for too long. If you plan on holding onto the bug for more than 2 weeks, make sure to send a courtesy email to the owner letting them know.

On your way out, feel free to give us a honk!
