All of the stages can be found along the various sections of the Spartan Trail. The usual precautions for thorns, ticks, and poison plants are recommended. South Run is a big park, be prepared for a lengthy hike on a variety of trail surfaces. Some of the trails barely exist anymore. Plan on some bushwhacking.

Parking is available at many spots in the park, but the rec center is centrally located.
The first stage is a small cache containing further instructions. Carrying a pen and paper is recommended. The final container is unique and medium-sized.
