Posted coordinates will take you to a micro hidden near the entrance of the Thurston Mill Land Trust Site. In the micro, you'll find clues that will lead you on an unmarked trail through hemlock forest, along the cascading stream, to the final cache location. The final cache is a small jar. You will not need to bushwack or wander far off the trail to reach this cache. This is not a loop trail; trail ends not far from the cache location.
Be sure to check out the informative signs at the entrance for a bit of history about this former lumber mill site. Evidence of the former mill are long gone, but this beautiful natural area remains protected through the efforts of the Saco Valley Land Trust and preservation-minded landowners.
If you find a container with only stamps in it, you found a letterbox; keep searching. Much of the trail in the floodplain area is now covered with gravel from the last nor'easter. Stay within 10-15 feet of the stream as you head to the final cache. Final cache is located within 600 feet of the parking area. There's room to park a car or two at the entrance.
