PARK (pärk)n.
1. An area of land set aside for public use, as: a. A piece of
land with few or no buildings within or adjoining a town,
maintained for recreational and ornamental purposes. b. A
landscaped city square. c. A large tract of rural land kept in its
natural state and usually reserved for the enjoyment and recreation
of visitors.
Guy B. Amis park opened in 1972 and has a little something for
everyone. A skateboard park, an olympic size swimming pool with
high dive, inline roller-hockey arena, soccer fields, multiple
baseball and softball fields, large pavillion with picnic tables
and fireplace, playgrounds, and a rodeo arena.
There have been several state champion baseball teams from this
park over the years and you can see their plaques posted throught
the park
