This cache is located in the woodlands of the 2065 acre Watchung Reservation, Union County, NJ. This Park takes is name from the Lenape Indian word "Wachuck" meaning "High Hills". The Reservation contains 26 miles of bridle trails, 13 miles of marked hiking trails, and over 40 miles of other trails. The nearby Deserted Villege site is listed on both the State and National Registers of Historic Places. A trail map can be obtained at the Trailside Nature center, New Providence Rd. Enjoy a nice easy hike on the trails with some bushwhacking. Parking is available near the Surprise Lake, off of Glenside Road at N40 41.622, W074 22.245.
