Know the difference between giants and windmills.
Many years ago there lived in Spain a very old-fashioned gentelman
whom you would have been glad to know. This gentelman had so many
odd ways and did so many strange things that he not only amused his
neighbors and distressed his friends, but made himself famous
throughout the world. To "tilt at windmills" is to confront and
engage in conflict with an imagined opponent or threat. The idiom
alludes to Miguel de Cervantes's Don Quixote, a popular Spanish
novel written in the seventeenth century. The title character, Don
Quixote, attacks a group of windmills with his lance at full tilt
(poised to strike) when he mistakes them for a group of ferocious
giants. Take yourself on one of Don's most famous adventures and
when you arrive you can sit a spell and ponder upon what he may
have thought. I have left the story of Don's adventure in the log
book along with some other info. There are several copies for the
taking. Please don't take the last copy and let me know when they
are getting low. Parking ---> 41-12.525 075-47.359 I DO NOT
recommend you follow the powerline once you have reached the top.
For easier(and drier)traveling take the side trail to right ===>
41-12.553 075-47.162 There are several quad and woodland trails to
get you there. Choose wisely. No bushwacking is required. Of course
if you are so inclined, be my guest. ** Make your Quest a
double-header and stop on your way for the "Winds of Change" cache.
A very nice multi. ** You "WILL" want to take your camera. Cache is
hidden in an ammo box. Please rehide well to avoid detection by
muggles. ENJOY YOUR JOURNEY
