Beffums LOVES penguins. This cache is her tribute to penguins and
it's named for Private (one of the Penguins in Madagascar, and the
model for the weeble-wobbles she leaves everywhere). In the cache,
you will find lots of penguin items, and maybe one or two other
things from the Ice Ages. The goal is to keep this as a themed
cache. Anything related to the following is fair game in the
cache:
* things related to penguins
* things related to extreme cold or ice
* things related to the Ice Ages
* things related to the South Pole
* TBs are always allowed, even if they have nothing to do with
penguins.
The cache is your typical ammo can in the woods. Should be fairly
easy. It's less than .1 mile from the nearest parking area (near
shelter 8). There are trails through the woods in this area, and
the cache is less than 250 feet from the trail.
Burdette Park is open from 7 am until midnight, 365 days a year.
The park has many activities for the whole family to enjoy
(including a water park with slides, beautiful trails to hike on,
campgrounds and chalets to stay in, etc etc), so it's good for
local cachers and out of towners alike.
