Geocache Description:

The Rocking Horse cache is located in the woodlands of the 2065 acre Watchung Reservation, Union County, NJ.

The Reservation takes is name from the Lenape Indian word "Wachuck" meaning "High Hills", and contains 26 miles of bridle trails, 13 miles of marked hiking trails, and over 40 miles of other trails.

The nearby Historic Deserted Village site is listed on both the State and National Registers of Historic Places.

A trail map can be obtained at the Trailside Nature center, New Providence Rd. Enjoy a nice easy hike on the trails with some bushwhacking.

Parking is available near the Lake Surprise, off of Glenside Road at N40 41.622, W074 22.245. Please re hide and secure cache before leaving.
