Caching slows down a bit in Alaska during the Winter and sometimes
people need something to think about before they put on multi
layers of clothes and venture out into the fridged darkness that is
Alaska. The Anchorage Daily News started carrying the Sodoku
puzzles in the paper last year and Klondike Kate got hooked! So to
try to satisfy the puzzle loving cachers…and you know who you are
(Scobey, POWMIA, etc) here is our attempt to introduce this brain
burner to the caching community.
The object is to solve for ABCDE & F in the coordinates
of:
61 0A.0BC
150 00.DEF
Sudoku ( sudoku), sometimes spelled Su Doku, is a logic-based
placement puzzle. The aim of the puzzle is to enter a numerical
digit from 1 through 9 in each cell of a 9×9 grid made up of 3×3
subgrids (called "regions"), starting with various digits given in
some cells (the "givens"). Each row, column, and region must
contain only one instance of each numeral. Completing the puzzle
requires patience and logical ability. Although first published in
a U. S. puzzle magazine in 1979, Sudoku initially caught on in
Japan in 1986 and attained international popularity in 2005.
