Walker's Farm is located on Route 114/103 in Barrington, RI. Access is on the north bound lane, just north of "The White Church" intersection w/ Federal Road. The sign for Walker's Farm is a small brown one, about 40" from the 114/103 sign. It blends in with the bushes, so slow down & look. The access road is full of muffler-busting potholes, so drive in slowly. It is public parking, but spaces are not marked. Just park along the telephone poles.
This is a deterioating 38-acre salt marsh that has been restored to allow for the return of water fowl, shorebirds, and fish. There is a fishing pier (in season), as well as a small-boat launch. I kayak in 100-Acre Cove often from here. There are also "Victory Gardens" here; they are private!!! But, on the south-bound lane of 114/103 a little further north, Vitullo's farm stand is open in season! Public restroom in town library. Plenty of places to eat south along 114.
