This is the third of three in the series of science puzzle caches
at Mill Creek WMA in Milton,
WV. The first cache in
the series, Science Test is of intermediate
difficulty. The second,
Science Exam, is the most challenging of the
series. That makes
Science Quiz the easiest.
From the
Milton exit, travel
North out John’s Creek Road
(AKA Mason
Road) for 4 miles. Take the fork
to the left at the sign for Triple G Hardwoods. Stay on this road
for four tenths of a mile (0.4 miles) to a gravel road on the left.
Travel west on the gravel road for seven tenths
of a mile (0.7 miles) to a pull off area along the road.
There is very limited parking. This cache is very near the parking
area and should be an easy find for neophyte
cachers.
The cache is well hidden in a scarlet 30 cal
ammo can that is well stocked with mostly science related
items. The original

The coordinates
given for the cache are for the parking area (N38 29.704 W82
06.927).
The actual cache
coordinates are to be calculated by answering some simple science
questions. Do the calculations and you will get the correct
coordinates. The cache coordinates are:
N 38 29.xxx
W 082.06.yyy
To calculate xxx, add the boiling
point of water on the Celcius scale to
621.
To determine
yyy, subtract 78 from the number of
millimeters in a meter.
