Geocache Description:

This cache is located beside the beautiful red sand dunes just off the dirt road between Walvis Bay and Swakopmund (on the back side of the dunes) outside of Walvis Bay. The cache is a small plastic container (lock&lock). It is a drive up cache as it can be found right beside the road.

This cache is in tribute to one of my favourite choirs in the world - the incredible Mascato Youth Choir from Swakopmund. A couple of years ago I brought 59 members of my own choir from Canada to Namibia and our lives were changed when we met Mascato. We spent one magical evening in the sand dunes having a brai and singing into the wee hours... If you get the chance, try to check them out while you are in the area...

Small note on cache maintenance: My friend Marcelino from Swakop will maintain this cache. I also visit this area about twice a year.
