Geocache Description:

This is an lock-n-lock container located in John Bryan State Park. John Bryan is the most scenic state park in western Ohio. The park contains a remarkable limestone gorge cut by the Little Miami River which is designated as a state and national scenic river. A portion of the gorge itself is designated as a national natural landmark.

Mother Nature's Fury

A few years ago maybe 1999 or 2000 a freak storm hit this portion of John Bryan State Park. The damage from the wind and the ice that was on the trees caused many trees to be toppled. Numbers were in the hundreds. The damage was so severe that it took many months to clear the trail on the south side of the river. As you enter the area it will be easily identified. I have spent much time in this area and it still overwhelms me to see the utter destruction.

This cache placed with permission from the State of Ohio Parks.
Please observe all the park rules!
