Geocache Description:

Every major city needs an easy "go to" TB exchange close to the airport. This cache is a great place to give those wayward trackables a jump start on the way to their goals.

This cache is conveniently located in a "natural wooded area" close to the Victoria Airport (CYYJ). It is intended to serve primarilly as a Travel Bug exchange. Other trades are welcome but trackables take priority for space in this camo'd 4.5" x 7" cylindrical Lock&Lock container.

A place to park with trail access is available at the end of Dickson Road on the right side. There is an old "No Tresspassing" sign at the entry point but it is just a relic of the days when this area was run by the DND. It is now open and accessible to the public.

The GPS reception can get spotty in the trees so look for a large cedar tree beside the path. The cache is hidden at the base of this majestic cedar in a root nook covered by cedar needles and guarded by a small "Oregon Grape" (local holly looking plant). It makes a good natural deterrent to anyone poking around there so please be gentle with it when you retrieve and rehide the cache.

If a TB you are dropping does not have an obvious mission, please note the bug's current goal in your log book entry so the next cacher can find out where the bug is going and if they can help it. I have also supplied some empty Ziplocs & post-its to allow you to easilly add notes to coins or TB's. This is the best way to let a traveling cacher, who may not have had time to read the bug pages online, know exactly where each trackable wants to go. If you want a signature item to travel abroad or be picked up by a traveller, this is a good place for it.

TB's are mean't to move so there are no restrictive rules regarding their pick-up and drop-off, if you can help any out or need to get rid of any then just go for it!

But please as always, take care to rehide this cache so it's as natural looking as possible when you leave. This is the second (and hopefully the last) time i've had to move/replace this cache and TB owners are never glad to hear their bugs were muggled.

Have fun and cache safe everyone!
M.D.
