Yogi's Trail
That 50's favourite Yogi Bear is at it again,
hunting down elusive "pic-a-nic" baskets with his buddy
Boo-Boo. This time, he managed to snag a good one but his
nemesis Ranger Smith was hot on his trail. Yogi stashed it
just before the Ranger caught up with him. Your mission is to
track it down. Being "smarter than your average bear" Yogi
left some clues to its location.
Because bears are great swimmers, Yogi and Boo-Boo
made it to Gabriola Island and then quickly found a good spot
for their treasure along an appropriate trail. The above
co-ordinates will get you close (within 3 km) to the actual
pic-a-nic basket but you'll have to decipher the following to
narrow it down.
A = 4 minus (the number of letters in Ranger Smith's
first name)
B = (the alphabetic position of the first letter of
Yogi's girlfriend's first name) minus 2
[where a=1, b=2, c=3 etc.]
C = (number of letters in the park that Yogi lives
in) minus 2

Boo-Boo's notes:
Before you start bushwacking, please heed the
following. The area you will be exploring is delicate and
should be treated with special care. The pic-a-nic basket is
located about 10 feet from the trail and you shouldn't start
looking before you see orange flagging tape tied around a
cedar tree. Yogi said the gps signals were very poor so he
left the tape as a major bit of help.
