Geocache Description:

What's the past tense of Kipling?

If you go to the listed coords, you won't find a cache there.

The actual coordinates of the cache are contained in this picture file:

The cache is an ammo box, chained to the base of a tree. (The chain is to make it harder for a Muggle to wander off with it, and because it's near the river and it's possible that it might flood at times!)

The tree cover made an accurate reading impossible at the time, so please don't over-trust your GPSr. Don't worry, there's not many trees in the area with ammo cans chained to them!

Two-speed cache?

Not everybody likes the challenge of a puzzle, as witness the number of finds for traditionals vs difficulty:2 and above mystery/puzzle caches.
Well, we here at the Bear_Left Lair have heard your anguished cries, and offer you the choice of treating this as a simple traditional cache!

So, if you're looking for a pleasant walk to find a traditional cache, go to this page and fill in your details, then wait a moment for an email to arrive with the final coordinates.

The only catch is that you must start your log with either "puzzle" or "traditional", or otherwise indicate in your log which speed you chose. No choice listed, no smiley.
And we will know who got the emails!

Whichever way you choose to find this cache, we hope you enjoy the scenery and the cache!

Find the codeword on the logbook (and in the puzzle) and go to bearleft.mackereth.net
