Geocache Description:

Welcome to Dothan, peanut capital of the world!

If you're passing through or have lived here awhile stop by and check out this huge golden peanut. Peanuts have been a huge staple in this area for the last century and this monument is a tribute to that. I couldn't hide the cache directly on the nut but it is close by so don't let the coords throw you off. This is a nice place to stop for a short break on your way to the beach. They have restrooms, telephones, information, Dothan gifts and some light snacks--open during regular business hours. Cache placed with permission and cooperation of management. LoR
