Located on the Eastern side of Wellington Harbour. Access from Burdans gate at the end of main road past Eastbourne or via the newly opened Baring Head park. The general area of the cache is best approached by mountain bike, bikes can be hired from a guy at the end of the road most weekends, or bring your own. Will take about an hour easy cycling, have a look at the ship wreck on your way.

Alternative foot access to cache is from the Wainui Coast Road along beach, this way will mean crossing the Wainui river near the mouth so be prepared to get wet by this route. This Prominent rock got its name because a ship was parked beneath it for about 10 years while it was being repaired. Also the awesome overhanging prow looks like a ships bow. Cache is a clear 2litre plastic snaplock container. It initially contained a logbook and pen as well as 1x pack of playing cards 2x dice 1x smiley face eraser 1x yoyo 1x flashing stick. Why not try Pencarrow cache as well while you're out this way.
