Located just off of South main in a small undeveloped park.
The Black Warrior Creek is a small creek that flows through the center of Weatherford. It runs about a tenth of a mile from the "old" high school that is now known as the Weatherford High School Ninth Grade Center. An interesting bit of information about this area: as a student at Weatherford High School, my brother helped design and map this little park. Unfortunately, the upkeep has not been real great-who knows, maybe someday it will be fixed up again.
To get to the cache you will not be disturbing anything directly next to the school, but will need to park in one of the seldom used lots on the south side of the school. Nearby you can find the Chandor Memorial Garden, a small, well landscaped garden that I do not know much about. When I was hiding the cache I took a peak over the fence and it looked really nice (maybe one of these days the gate will be unlocked).
The cache is a cylidrical container (racquetball can) that has a few small trade items. I believe it started out with a golf ball, a bead necklace, some toy gems, toy skateboards, rubber "pop" toy, and some small animal erasers. Watch your step as you are retrieving the cache!
