Geocache Description:

The cache is placed near the center of the Maxwell Quadrangle of California. It was inspired by the now, sadly, defunct locationless cache Fill in the Blanks (GC5A04). As per the guidelines of "Fill in the Blanks," this cache is the first cache in this 7.5’ quadrangle.

Maxwell is a small farming community in Colusa County, California. Unlike the namesakes of our three previous "Fill in the Blanks" related caches (all long gone – the towns, not the caches), Maxwell is still viable and is located on I-5. This cache is located beside Old State Highway 99W that runs parallel to and near I-5 in this area.

The cache container is a small, 2x3x3, plastic container.

To access this cache while northbound on I-5 you must use Exit 586 (Maxwell Road) and go into downtown Maxwell. There is a NB on-ramp very near the cache for you to use to continue your journey. To access this cache while southbound on I-5, use Exit 588 (Business Route 5) very near the cache. You must go into downtown Maxwell to return to the southbound freeway. It is 2.82 miles from downtown Maxwell to the cache.
