Geocache Description:

Now adopted by Flamin' Foxes, this was niknrich's second cache and is hidden in one of everyones favourite Leicestershire places, Bradgate Park.  It was named Bradgate Trilogy because it was the third in the park back in 2006.

**FINAL LOCATION CHANGED November 2025**

The best place to park is the Hallgates car park near Cropston Reservoir at N 52°41.853, W 001°11.921.  There is a charge for parking (Pay & Display rates shown on the board) and there are public WCs in the car park.

The cache is approximately 1 mile from here, along good paths.  There is no need to cross any dry stone walls or to enter any of the enclosures to find this cache.  The cache is not hidden in, behind or under any wall.

Clue 1 can be found at N 52°41.652  W 001°12.369 which is a nice spot to admire the view.

A = # of letters in his first name

B = # of letters in the first dog’s name

C = last numeral on the plaque + total number of dogs

D = 3rd numeral on the plaque

Using the information here, clue 2 can be found at  N 52°41.ABC   W 001°12.DEF

Remember to keep all of the information handy as it will come in useful later!

Clue 2 is another nice spot to have a rest and take in the views.  You will need some of the information from clue 1 (you did remember it all didn’t you?!) and the information from this clue to complete the cache co-ordinates.

From clue 1:

G = total # of letters in both dogs’ names  / 2

H = 1st numeral on the plaque

At clue 2:

I = # of letters in brackets on the plaque

J = # of 'U's in first name on the plaque

K = # of 'S's on the plaque

From clue 1:

LM = total # of letters in the dog owner’s name + 1

At clue 2:

N = # of 'E's in the surname

O = last numeral on the plaque

P = second numeral on the plaque

The cache can be found at      N 52°GH.IJK  W 001° LM.NOP

On the way from clue 2 to the cache, look out for the nice views of Leicestershire to the left as you go down the hill.

The cache is a 1 litre cylinder containing the usual goodies, log book etc.  Please make sure the lid is well screwed on and the cache is well hidden when you leave as the location is quite exposed.
