The last and only surviving in a series of 5 different types of caches in a new country park which straddles the Greenwich Meridian Line. This fifth one is another traditional albeit harder to find and further to walk! --- However still ENJOY.
This park, near historic Waltham Abbey (visit link) is the largest open space in the region dedicated to exploring and working with arts, science and nature to generate greater awareness and enjoyment of our environment.
Closed to the public for one hundred years. Lee Valley Regional Park Authority’s multi million pound investment has transformed the site from its former use as a munitions factory into 255 acres of unique parkland with wildflower meadows, woodlands and wetlands, arable farmland and a striking new Field Station. (visit link)
This cache is in an area known as Knights Pits.
Further away from main park area and more difficult to find. A longer walk from any main parking areas although there are picnic areas nearby.
Brown polythene bottle container with screw lid.
Muggle Index = 1-2/5 most times of year.
💧PLEASE NOTE💧
This cache is not far from a very picturesque but deep water pond/lake.
Please be aware of this and take care of your little ones. Thanks.😓
