This cache is on the Capital Area Greenbelt, and is not accessible from I 83. It replaces the Greenbelt Bridge Cache that was archived because of problems I had with keeping the cache attached to the bridge. Because this is a new cache, it can be logged as a new cache.
The Capital Area Greenbelt is a twenty mile long trail which connects various parks around Harrisburg, PA. For more information check out http://www.caga.org Parking is available at The Rutherford House, 3300 Parkview Lane (N40 15.397 W76 49.995). The Rutherford House is a community center in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, for independent adults aged 55 and over. More information can be found at http://www.rutherfordhouse.org. The cache is located on a unique bridge on the Greenbelt where it goes over Spring Creek. The bridge was constructed by volunteers in order to provide a safe passage over the creek and off of City Park Drive. Take a look at the interesting cable suspension for the bridge. From the parking area take the greenbelt walk north too the posted coordinate. It is a small Rubbermaid container that has a few small trinkets and will hold small trade items.
