Cache is placed in a central location on the mass of Tiger
Mountain.
Each Wednesday for the past several months I've gone out hiking
and caching with some good friends. When our work day is done we
head for the hills. At the choosen trailhead we briefly speak of
what went right or wrong at work, or who might have recently been
stopped for speeding, or the possibility of in-laws visiting.
Everyday humdrum. But once our shoes are exchanged for boots and
our packs are shouldered, we head up. As the sweat leaves our
bodies so do the cares of the world below; and the only problems we
face are these:
- Are you sure this is the trail we want?
- Where is the d@#$ cache?
The rest of the time is spent telling each other tall tales of
shared or other adventures. One of our favorite haunts is Tiger
Mountain. In commemoration of my 1000th find, and the most
excellent camaraderie of the WNW, I've hidden an ammo box near the
junction of several trails. Thanks runhills and TMP for the help
and the company.
Rechecked the coords 5/27/06 and they were dead on.
Have fun. Go hiking and caching. And tell tall tales.
Congratulations to Rockitbiker on the FTF.
This is an official
MidMountain Mountaineers cache. We are a loose collection of
hikers/cachers who believe the journey is more important than
the summit. Enjoy our caches about half way
