Geocache Description:

Cache is located in BIG BONE LICK park. Terrain was given a 2 due to the elevation of the trail and the chance that it may be QUITE muddy.

A nice easy hike on the Gobbler's Trace trail. The Coordinates above are not for the cache but for a sign located between the Museum and Nature Office. The park has a very interesting past and thought it would be nice for newcomers to see how the park came to be. On this display is a timeline. For the final coordinates you must find the year that states:
"Earliest record of Fossils removed from Big Bone Lick"

the year was ABCC. Using this, the final coords are:
N 38 52.953
W 08C C5.ABB

Gobbler's Trace is located directly across from the Nature Office and parking is readily available. The cache is a Gold Star Chili Bengals drinking mug covered in Duct Tape. This is my first cache and figured I would make it pretty simple just to see how it was done, (and it was getting dark and the park was closing soon. ;-} ).

The cache is not more than 10 feet off the trail. Park regulations does not allow anything more than this to be off the trail. If you feel you've gone too far, you probably have. Please be respectful of the park and keep to the trails as much as possible!
