Cache is located on a rock face overlooking the Ski Jumps and High Peaks. The trails to the top cross one another several times. To access the cache you will need to take the Cobble Hill Trail. You access the trail at Mt. Whitney Way and Mirror Lake Drive. The trail starts on the right about 100 feet up Mt Whitney Way from Mirror Lake Drive. You will need to park on Mirror Lake Drive just to the west of Mt. Whitney Way. It is about a 1/2 mile walk from Mirror Lake Drive to the cache location.
Thanks to dminimax for the following history lesson about Cobble Hill. There are relics of an ill-fated ski area on the way to the top. “The ski area was named Kobl Mountain, with the unusual spelling attributed to Melvin Dewey, the Dewey Decimal system guy who was also responsible for the unusual spelling of Adirondack Loj.” The following link gives some additionla history of Cobble Hill.
