Les palais du Bonhomme Carnaval

A chaque année, un palais de glace est construit pour accueillir Bonhomme Carnaval. Fabriqué de glace, le premier palais a été construit en 1955 lors du tout premier Carnaval de Québec.

De 1979 à 1992, le palais est construit avec de la neige. Quelque 9000 tonnes de neige sont compactées de manière à obtenir de gigantesques blocs. Les blocs sont taillés et assemblés suivant les plans élaborés par un artiste.

Au grand plaisir de tous les carnavaleux, 1993 marque le retour du palais de glace.

Pour déterminer les coordonnées de la cache, il vous faut trouver les années de construction de huit de ces palais.		   The "Bonhomme Carnaval" Palaces

Each year, a magical ice palace is built for "Bonhomme Carnaval". The first palace was built for the first Quebec Winter Carnival in 1955 and was made of ice.

From 1979 to 1994, the Carnival palace was constructed from snow. Around 9,000 tons of snow was compacted into enormous bricks, used to build the edifice. The bricks were shaped and assembled according to an artist's blueprints.

At the delight of all carnival-goers, the ice palace made its return in 1993.

To determine the location of the geocache, you have to find the years of construction of eight of these palaces.
