TLI - Vera Claythorne Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

AdventureRat: After more than 19 years, another TLI cache bites the dust. Being painfully aware that caches have a tendency to move around, I reviewed the last couple of photos taken here before trying to find it myself. After about ten minutes, I threw in the towel. I took the very long way in and a much shorter way out, albeit both being unofficial trails and far from ideal. I'm actually quite surprised that the Rouge Park Trails Coordinator never contacted me to archive this cache when the trail it was on was retired.

Thank you to all 325 people that visited, and for anyone that was wondering, the secret code for this one was V! 😁

Geocache Description:

See TLI - Phillip Lombard for parking and trailhead information.

This cache is a 35 mm film canister located in the Rouge River valley. It is one of a large series of caches collectively called " Ten Little Indians". Please bring your own writing instrument as the cache only contains a log.

Copy down the 1 or 2 letter clue from under the lid in order to locate the series final.

The difficulty is based upon my assessment of terrain, view of the sky, and actual cache placement. Since this series is my first attempt at cache placement, I welcome any comments you might have. I only ask that if your comments include cache details, please send them to me directly instead of including them in your log entries. Geocaching is a year-round activity, and this micro has been placed with that in mind. It is at least 15 centimetres above the ground, hidden in typical geocache fashion. When in doubt, think winter friendly.
