Geocache Description:

The site for maccamob’s one hundred and twenty first cache is indeed a place of peace and tranquillity, with overtones of the ‘60s. In the words of writer John Phillips (The Mamas and The Papas) and singer Scott McKenzie, “be sure to wear some flowers in your hair”.

Also in the 60s, The Beatles urged us all to “give peace a chance”. In this quiet garden setting, that not so long ago was home to the sounds and smells of livestock, you can reflect on those words and the park designers’ themes of peace and women. The surrounding area is now a maze of small lanes, walkways and dead ends, filled with flats and units. This is a replacement for our original “Flower Power” cache, which lost its leafy cover and vanished. The local residents live close by and may be watching you, so use stealth and, as usual, please ensure the cache is well hidden again before you leave.

CAUTION: Be careful if you are looking for this cache at night. Aggressive foxes have been seen in the park in the general vicinity of the cache.
