Visit a log, log a visit
The location is adjacent to one of Seattle's most scenic doggy-off-leash swim areas, but you don't have to go in to the fenced area to score the cache.
When this cache was placed, our family included a Husky and a Bassett hound, and after many years and the passing of those friends, now includes a Labradoodle. Since all of our canine friends have always loved visiting this park, we thought the area cachers might like to check it out as well.
The cache is a camo'd plastic tub. It is only doggie-named; take and leave trading items as you wish. It's an easy ten minute walk from the parking area.
After you visit the cache, please be careful to re-set it exactly as you found it.
4/2/06: It appears that the many visitors have created a geotrail, so I moved cache a few feet to make the location less obvious to muggles. Coords remain the same. Enjoy!
11/30/08: Finally, this one is back in business. Note that there is a more-or-less established geotrail around the Big Bush. Please use the trail so as to minimize impact on the area.
3/3/10:
I upgraded the terrain to reflect the fact that there are Himalayan blackberries at GZ. I managed to find it with shorts on this beautiful day, but that is not for everybody. Have fun!
5/15/12 Well the rare and seldom-seen Himalayan Blackberry appears to be increasing the terrain difficulty again this season. Be brave.
9/20/15 I am taking a chance and moving this to the outside corner of the fence. Obviously this trail is well-worn. Please please search with stealth on those busy doggy days; leave no doggy food or smelly pet products in it; and rehide with lots of camo.
