meandmydogs: I stopped by today to pick up what was left of the cache ... thanks ZeeDee for helping to pick up the trash left behind. all valuable items in the cache and the container are long gone.
I took a close look at the area and decided not to replace the cache. Given it's location and the weather, it is very unlikely the cache was found by mistake. MOre likely folks were snoopy about all the action that section of the park was getting. I suspect if replaced, the cache is likly to walk again. Anyone else interested in being more creative about hiding a cache in the area are welcome to do so.. you might have more luck than I did. Thanks for all who visited and sorry to all who missed out! Especially to DLV who lost a new TB starting its trip.
